Strengthening our online presence and identity has been a long-term goal of ours for some time. Our pre-existing site required a visual facelift and a full re-build in order to move forward into today’s technological advances. As a forward thinking agency it is important to us that our customers have access to modern day property tools in order to gain the best property insight at the click of a button. Working together with local resident, Iain Brewester and his team at Westside London, we set about working out what we needed to do.
The team at Westside London were excellent at guiding us through the process of planning our new site. The first stage was to assess where our current was not reflecting our intention of being a forward-thinking agency and not giving our customers the best experience in searching for properties. The majority of searches are carried out on the move via smart phones, so having an excellent mobile site was critical. Keeping abreast of technology was also key to our decision making process. Almost 90% of social media posts are now video driven and the property industry is heading that way quicker than most, so having seamless video capacity was another important factor for us.
The following weeks involved a process of research and brainstorming. Together, we decided what to include and importantly what to hold back, learning the value of clean lines and white space, something we would never have been brave enough to do on our own. Our previous monochrome colour palette has now evolved to embrace a vibrant accent colour, which really lifts the site and brightens the screen.
As a result, we now have a fantastic and visually dynamic website containing video walk throughs, custom property searches and integrated international listings (as well as our normal sales & lettings properties). We have also included various helpful modules such as a stamp duty calculator, a mortgage calculator and even our own branded currency converter for those considering buying a property overseas.
